Who are online students?
Our online students are often adult learners. They may be serving in the military or returning to college to complete degrees that will help them advance in their careers. Others are international students or recent high school graduates. Wherever they’re from and whatever their ages, they share a commitment to obtaining the education needed for successful careers.
What it’s like to study online
Online students can complete assignments anywhere they have Internet access. They can study at night, on the weekend or during lunch. They can access their courses in a hotel room, at the coffee shop, or while sitting at the kitchen table.
Although students can complete their degrees without going to one of our campuses, they are always welcome to stop by — and many do. Some come to get help from our Career Services department while others come to consult with a financial aid coordinator. They may visit the library for one-on-one tutorials or come to work with classmates on joint projects. And some never come to campus until graduation. Students have come to their graduation ceremonies from as far away as Texas, California and Connecticut.
You’re not alone
Even if you never come to campus, you won’t be alone. You may receive a welcome call from an instructor. You may develop a long-distance friendship with a classmate. And you have the support of our well-staffed help desk if you encounter any problems while you learn online.
