Online Help Desk for Online Students


Students at Globe University have access to the friendly and knowledgeable information technology specialists who staff our online help desk. Students can contact our help desk by phone, e-mail or instant message. The desk is staffed more than 90 hours per week. The motto of our help desk staff is, “There’s no such thing as a stupid question.” They welcome your queries and are there to help you.

Tutorials that address many questions

Our help desk staff know that online students come to school with different levels of preparation for online study. That’s why they have developed a series of tutorials to help students who feel unsure of their ability to navigate the online world. The help desk also has tutorials for students who have mastered the basics and want a more advanced understanding of the software. Wherever you are on the spectrum, our online staff has designed a tutorial that will meet your needs. Of course, if there is no tutorial that addresses your question, contact them right away.

Our online tutorials cover a wide range of topics, including the following:

  • Online orientation. Students acquire basic knowledge of Globe’s online policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Blackboard. This tutorial prepares students to work in Blackboard, our primary course management software and one that is used around the world. Take a look at Blackboard; go to http://msbcollege.blackboard.com/webapps/login/ and log in as guguest for both login and password. The help desk also offers advanced tutorials in Blackboard on specific functions within the software.
  • E-mail tutorial. Students learn the basics about their e-mail accounts so they can complete online courses and access their accounts.
  • Instant Messenger (Office Communicator) tutorial. You will learn how to log in and navigate Office Communicator, the Globe University instant messaging software.
  • Library tutorials. The library offers tutorials that will provide you with the information you need to use our extensive online resources.
  • Help desk tutorials. The help desk has prepared numerous tutorials and FAQs on a wide variety of subjects, from using Microsoft Word  to protecting your PC from viruses.
