Programs developed with the help of legal professionals
We developed our legal science programs in consultation with advisory boards made up of attorneys, law enforcement officers and others in the legal field. They make sure that we include the training and information that is necessary for success on the job. They also review our programs regularly so that we continue to offer up-to-date instruction. Since our founding in St. Paul, MN, in 1885, we have focused on providing practical education that allows graduates to contribute right away to their employers’ organizations.
Our online programs
We offer the following online legal science programs:
Certificate in Paralegal. This certificate is designed for people who already have bachelor’s degrees. A student can earn this credential online in as little as nine months.
Bachelor of Science in Paralegal (BS). Students can complete this four-year degree in three years if they study full-time. If they have been working in the field or have an associate degree, they may be able to obtain credit for prior learning or work experience, shortening the time required to earn this BS degree.
Associate in Applied Science in Paralegal (AAS). This two-year provides rigorous training and the ability to enter the job market quickly. Students can return to earn a bachelor’s degree in paralegal; their credits from the AAS degree will transfer to the new program.
Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice (AAS). This two-year degree prepares students for careers in the court system, corrections and law enforcement. They can receive discounts on firearms training and are often eligible for the POST training that is required by law enforcement agencies to become a police officer.
