A history of career education
Our college has been training students for rewarding careers in business and related fields since the 19th century. Since our founding in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1885, we have offered programs that give students the opportunity to earn degrees that will help them find great jobs in the 21st century. Although the subject matter of our programs and classes has changed with the times, we remain committed to our goal of providing students practical, hands-on training that prepares them for successful careers.

Programs developed by IT professionals
At Globe University-Online, we build our degrees in information technology with the assistance of IT professionals who make up our program advisory committees. They ensure that we teach the skills and information that employers value. They review our programs regularly so that we continue to offer up-to-date instruction in this rapidly changing field.
Online IT programs
We offer a fully online Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS) degree and an Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology (AAS) degree. These IT degrees prepare students for rewarding jobs as well as for certification exams that can enhance their careers. People with certifications from Microsoft, Cisco and CompTia are in high demand and have an edge over other job seekers.
Credit for prior learning and work experience
Many students in our two and four-year programs worked in the IT industry before starting their college educations. Some have had previous college courses in technology subjects. In both cases, they may be eligible to receive credit for relevant work experience and prior learning, reducing the time required for them to earn their degrees. Our education department evaluates credits received in this way.
