A history of business education
Students who earn online degrees in business administration at Globe University are continuing a long tradition that dates to the 19th century. Since its founding in 1885 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Globe University has been preparing students for careers, consulting with business professionals to determine the skills and knowledge most valued by employers. We continue to build on our history and have added programs and online degrees. Although much has changed, we still provide students with the tools they need to succeed.
Online business administration programs at Globe University
Our online business administration degrees include the following:
Master of Business Administration (MBA). Designed for working business professionals, this graduate degree asks students to apply what they learn in their classes to their workplaces. They learn both theory and practice of business principles and are ready for management and executive positions in many different industries and organizations.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS). This degree is the foundation of a rewarding business career. Students learn business communications, marketing, management and finance. They take classes such as the following:

Graduates are ready for positions such as supervisor, marketing manager, sales manager, accounting assistant and insurance representative. They have the strong problem-solving and communication skills valued by employers.
Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration (AAS). With two-year degrees in business administration, graduates have obtained positions such as the following:
- Purchasing coordinator
- Client service specialist
- Funeral director
- Real estate manager
- Purchaser/buyer
- Retail manager
- Sales representative
- Clerical supervisor
They also become business owners and use their knowledge to be effective entrepreneurs.
In addition to taking core business classes in accounting, management, marketing and business law, students complete 30 credits of general education classes that strengthen their communication skills and prepare them to work in today’s world. This AAS degree can be completed in as little as 21 months of full-time study. And students often return to further their educations by earning bachelor’s degrees in business administration or other related areas. Most of their associate degree credits transfer easily to their new degree programs.
Business administrative assistant diploma. In addition to these college degrees, we offer a technical diploma in business administrative assistant. Graduates are ready to contribute to their employers’ organizations from the first day on the job.
