Financial Aid for Online Learners


You can’t avoid the expense of college entirely. But you can often lower it significantly, making it possible to earn a degree that you may have thought was out of reach. It is our goal to help you achieve your goals. That’s why Globe University-Online offers scholarships. We also have financial aid coordinators who will steer you to other sources of funding such as loans, grants and scholarships from other organizations. We work with you to help make your education affordable.

Whether you study online or at one of our 12 locations in Minnesota and the upper Midwest, you may be able to receive one of these scholarships if you meet the eligibility guidelines. Our Financial Aid department can provide you with more details.

Title IV loans and grants

Students at Globe University-Online are eligible for federal and state loans and grants such as those listed below:

  • Federal Pell grants
  • Minnesota State Grant Program
  • Academic Competitiveness Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant
  • National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART Grant)
  • Federal Stafford Loans
  • Federal Parent PLUS loan for undergraduate students
  • Student Educational Loan Fund (SELF)

Other education funding sources

Other federal agencies offer targeted education funding for which our students may be eligible:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs
  • Veteran’s Administration
  • Division of Rehabilitation Services

In addition, many employers, non-profit organizations and affinity groups offer scholarships to students who meet eligibility criteria. And some employers offer tuition assistance to employees and their families. Our Financial Aid coordinators can help identify other scholarships, loans and grants.
